Verity Van Lines was established in the early 1900s as Austin Verity & Son. Initially, the company provided moving and storage for local communities.
As the country expanded after World War II, the company responded by developing one of the area’s first long distance moving companies. Austin Verity, Jr. was a pioneer in long distance transportation. He was one of the first to operate tractor-trailers between New York and Florida. Although the company was originally started in Baldwin, NY, Austin Verity, Jr. moved the company to Seaford, NY, which has been our headquarters for more than 65 years.
Today, the company operates full-service facilities in Seaford and Lindenhurst, NY, with agents in all principle cities nationwide.
